Personal narratives are true stories from our lives that tell of experiences that have had a lasting impact on the way that we perceive and relate to the world around us. As a genre, personal narrative is free from the shackles of form or structural requirements, which allows writers to focus on expressing their experiences and reflecting on them within a single piece of writing.
