Guided Hiking for Beginners

Beginners can enjoy the great outdoors with an easy hike and guidance from experienced hikers. After the hike, you can enter to win a gift card to an outdoor retail store! Registration required.

Registration opens 4 weeks prior to each event, at 9am. Registration closes 10 days prior to event.

Important Information — Please Read 

• Must be age 18 or older
• Be sure to wear comfortable clothing and appropriate shoes
• Don't forget sunscreen and water!
• We love your furry friends, but animals will not be allowed on these hikes 
• We will contact you via email one week prior to the hike to confirm, and provide the meetup location
• We'll meet at 8:30am sharp! Hikes will take 45–60 minutes

These hikes will allow participants to explore new areas and help prepare them for more strenuous hikes. Experienced hikers will assist with reading topographical maps, identifying local flora and fauna, and the proper essentials needed for every hike. Participants will be entered into a random drawing for a gift card from a recreational equipment store (REI, Backcountry, and Sierra Trading Post). 

Due to the nature of this program, it might not be suitable for everyone. Although some trails will have paved walking paths, these hikes will take place on dirt and gravel trails with minor ascents and descents. Participants will have to fill out a waiver to verify that they are able to complete these hikes successfully.
