Artist's Statement
I’d like to invite you on a tour of the spaces I’ve been. Spaces that have come and gone, states that I have been in that have shaped my experience the past several years. Some heavy and exposing, some colorful and rejuvenating, they are periods of my life that have been invaluable and exposing.
Life is good. Experience is good. While there are times I feel like an alien. I know no other home. So here I share my photos from my travels, to both inner and outer spaces, my Postcards from Another Planet.
Artist's Bio
Mark Saengsoury is a photographer who uses his medium to portray perspectives and capture moments that captivate him. A first generation Laotian-American, his life has been an experience of what it’s like to see things from the other side of the glass.
He began his exploration of photography in 2014, and instantly found a passion in capturing a scene and transforming it into something that expresses the imagination and emotion that he felt in the moment.
He draws inspiration from the out-of-bounds, the what ifs, and the hidden nature of things.. His photography plays with the grandeur and intricacies of nature, the radiance of the sun, and the cleverness of light. Colorful and dramatic is an apt descriptor for his work.

This beautiful facility was designed to complement the Rose Park neighborhood with sensitivity to its site on the Jordan River Parkway. An open space plan, with a large community meeting room and outside deck area, will accommodate this growing community for many years.
The south property of the Day-Riverside Branch is home to TreeUtah's EcoGarden, a "food forest" where all members of the community can learn about urban farming and organic gardening. The Day-Riverside Branch has a meeting room available for public use that features tables, chairs, a projector screen, and a piano.
Free parking is available to the west of the building, and free wi-fi access is provided throughout the library.
