Take a Hike!

Guided Hiking for Beginners

Join staff from the Anderson-Foothill Branch for one more hike before the snow starts falling! We'll be hiking the Pipeline Trail in Millcreek Canyon. Registration is required.

We'll take in the fall foliage and an excellent view of the city from an overlook while trekking through the canyon. This hike will allow patrons to explore an exciting local trail and help prepare them for more strenuous hikes if they choose to tackle those in the future. The hike itself is roughly 3.9 miles out and back, with approximately 823 ft of elevation gain. Here's a link to the hike on AllTrails. 

Important Information — Please Read 

• Must be age 18 or older
• Be sure to wear comfortable clothing and appropriate shoes, and layer for the colder temperatures.
• Don't forget water and a jacket!
• We love your furry friends, but animals will not be allowed on these hikes 
• We will contact you via email one week prior to the hike to confirm, and provide the meetup location.
• We'll meet at 8am sharp! This hike will take approximately 2 hours.

Due to the nature of this program, it might not be suitable for everyone. This hike will take place on a dirt and gravel trail with moderate ascents and descents. Participants will have to fill out a waiver to verify that they are able to complete these hikes successfully.
