Artist's Statement
Florals have long been an obsession with me. They are God's miracles, especially in adverse climates and conditions. These florals are painted from my yard in Palm Springs and in my neighborhood in Salt Lake City, where harsh climate conditions are extreme in both locations. Yet they manage to survive and surprise us with defiance and grace. All are interesting in their sculptural form and color. Even though I do many forms of art and mediums I will always be influenced by natural selection.
