Artist's Statement
One of the best compliments I have ever received was that “Every picture made them smile”. That describes my mission perfectly. If I can shine my light and put a smile on someone’s face, then I can be an influence for good in some small way.
Artist's Bio
I am a self taught artist and stay at home mom living in Utah. I grew up with a love of art inspired by my father who worked doing layouts for Rolling Stone magazine in its early stages in San Francisco. I love animation and fantasy especially when it blurs the lines between real and imaginary. When I was young I had dreams of working for Disney, but life had different plans. So four kids and two children's books later, I am doing art out of my home, usually in the evenings after my kids go to bed.
I typically work with a mixed media of ink, colored pencil and watercolor. I love to inspire people to daydream whether it's going for a Sunday stroll riding your cuttlefish, paddling your favorite sea horse down the river, or a world where robots eat bubblegum and ice cream. My mission with my art is to delight and inspire people to imagine, and I want each of my pieces to tell a story to the viewer. I hope the viewer takes the story further with the picture and decides what happens next.

Considered to be one of the finest Carnegie Libraries in the West, this 8,900 square foot library has two levels. Since its opening in 1918, it has been an important part of city services to Westside residents. The Chapman Branch was completely renovated, including an updated HVAC, following the collapse of the roof during 1993. A major remodel of the basement level meeting space in 2002 resulted in a much improved children's area and expanded service and collection space for adults on the ground level. A small meeting room is available for public use, and free wi-fi access is provided throughout the library. Street parking is available to the south of the building, and an external book drop is located on the east side of the building for returning library materials after hours.
