Experience local theatre from the comfort of home! This year, the 12th Annual Edward Lewis Theatre Festival will take place as a virtual event. The City Library has partnered with four local theatre companies, who will perform scenes from plays that confront social and racial issues.
People Productions will present a local-setting adaptation of Knuckle, by David Hare.
The Salt Lake Acting Company will be present pieces and discussion from Four Women Talking About the Man Under the Sheet, by local playwright Elaine Jarvik. This production addresses two timely issues: racism and suffrage.
Pygmalion Productions will present a scene from Catherine Filloux's politically-charged White Savior.
Wasatch Theatre Company will present a scene from Teacher Truths, by local playwright James Martin.
