The Biocultural Restoration Project is a partnership between The City Library Garden Program and the Indigenous community of Salt Lake City. "Biocultural Restoration" is defined as “the science and practice of restoring not only ecosystems, but human and cultural relationships to place, so that cultures are strengthened and revitalized along with the lands to which they are inextricably linked.” In this project, we aim to interview Black and Indigenous People of Color living in proximity to the Salt Lake City Public Library who are actively engaged in land-based practices that reflect their cultural heritage.
