About the Artists
Stage Fright
Stage Fright is an indie rock band based in SLC. They formed in October 2021, through the Musicology Program at Spyhop, and released their first album, "Paper-Thin," in July 2022.
With inspiration coming from artists like Cavetown, Elliot Smith, and Phoebe Bridgers, their music is emotional and vulnerable. They write about relationships, friendships, and everything that comes with growing up in the current world.
Last year, they played at Pride 2022 and The Utah arts festival, as well as several shows at Kilby Court. Now, Stage Fright consists of Stella (guitarist and singer), Ethne (guitarist and singer), and Milana (drummer). They're currently working on new songs for their next release.
Scott Lippitt
"For the past decade, Scott Lippitt has made gloomy, thoughtful and engaging indie pop with narrative lyricism that explores self-examination while remaining hopeful." - SLUG Mag
"Scott Lippitt is like if Elliott Smith did pop music. His hushed, doubled vocals populate “Insight In Time” – a chill, reflective track with driving, acoustic textures. This track would have been included in an episode of Scrubs for sure." - Provo Music Mag
Get Born
Hello! We are Get Born, an indie rock band currently based in SLC. Half of us are born and raised here and the other half are from Seattle. Our music influences include a range of bands under the indie rock umbrella including Pinegrove, Snail Mail, and Elliott Smith.
Considered to be one of the finest Carnegie Libraries in the West, this 8,900 square foot library has two levels. Since its opening in 1918, it has been an important part of city services to Westside residents. The Chapman Branch was completely renovated, including an updated HVAC, following the collapse of the roof during 1993. A major remodel of the basement level meeting space in 2002 resulted in a much improved children's area and expanded service and collection space for adults on the ground level. A small meeting room is available for public use, and free wi-fi access is provided throughout the library. Street parking is available to the south of the building, and an external book drop is located on the east side of the building for returning library materials after hours.
