Artists up to age 17 can submit original artwork that reflects the spirit of Día de los Muertos. Entries will be displayed during the Festival. After the event, three finalists will be selected and awarded prizes.

The Sprague Branch closed Monday, April 1, 2019 for a full remodel. The Branch will reopen in late 2020. The City Library will continue to serve the Sugar House community at the Sprague Firehouse Express, which opened Sunday, April 28.

Career Online High School (COHS) offers adults who have not completed high school the opportunity to earn an accredited high school diploma and career certificates online. This program is completely free for students, as scholarships have been provided by The Friends of The Salt Lake City Public Library.

The City Library now offers unlimited access to The Salt Lake Tribune’s website, sltrib.com, when accessed via on-site wifi or Desktop PCs. The Tribune has taken down its subscription paywall for patrons at The City Library’s eight locations.
