A power-packed day of Utah music! HUM FEST features live music throughout the Library from some of Utah's most exciting artists. Rock out on the roof, jam on the plaza, and enjoy quiet music inside.

2019 SUMMER CONCERT SERIES
We're looking for 10–15 minute Ted Talks based on the concepts of original ideas, challenges, passions, experiences, and inspirations.
Featuring world-class performance art—live and in person—with works from 24 respected local and international artists, curator Kristina Lenzi has assembled a varied group of original, unrehearsed art pieces, suitable for all ages.

A monthly showcase of short new works and works-in-progress by local artists in many disciplines. One Sunday a month, come see new pieces in music, dance, writing, film, theater, performance art and the like, each 12 minutes or less.

The Salt Lake City Public Library is now an official U.S. passport application acceptance facility. Customers can apply for a U.S. passport and/or passport card.

The 11th annual Alt Press Fest showcases Utah’s vibrant alternative-press community. Featuring over forty zine creators, unique printing demonstrations, and creative activities for the whole family.

The Sprague Branch closed Monday, April 1, 2019 for a full remodel. The Branch will reopen in late 2020. The City Library will continue to serve the Sugar House community at the Sprague Firehouse Express, which opened Sunday, April 28.
SPRAGUE FIREHOUSE EXPRESS
Artists up to age 17 can submit original artwork that reflects the spirit of Día de los Muertos. Entries will be displayed during the Festival. After the event, three finalists will be selected and awarded prizes.

Career Online High School (COHS) offers adults who have not completed high school the opportunity to earn an accredited high school diploma and career certificates online. This program is completely free for students, as scholarships have been provided by The Friends of The Salt Lake City Public Library.

The City Library now offers unlimited access to The Salt Lake Tribune’s website, sltrib.com, when accessed via on-site wifi or Desktop PCs. The Tribune has taken down its subscription paywall for patrons at The City Library’s eight locations.
